In 1980, POSCO Hyoja Art Hall opened in Pohang with a mission to provide artistic experiences to the local community. Having presented orchestra concerts, plays, musicals, dance performances, traditional Korean music and films for free, the hall has made significant contributions to development of the performing and arts industry in the city. After continued expansion and renovation, Hyoja Art Hall can now seat 731 people, including 467 on the first floor and 264 on the second floor.
